angelfield (present day)
1997 -

The current line-up first appeared at some point in 1997, after trying to arrange rehearsals with a GP and a gynaecologist proved to be just a bit too much of a struggle. (It seems that standing up in a dank and musty rehearsal room just couldn't compete with the lure of examining ladies' front bottoms).
But James and Ian had clearly been missing the rock and roll lifestyle (and probably still do), so after a bit of initial encouragement, they were both back on board. In less than a year, Angelfield had equalled the This Happy Breed record for live performances (i.e. 2 - not including performances in someone's dining room).
By the end of 1998 the Angelfield machine was unstoppable. Fuelled by the tremendous buzz going round, the band managed 4 gigs in 3 months, which is as close to a 'tour' as you're ever likely to see. Although no-one in the band has seen fit to give up the day job, there is always a remote chance that one day the mighty 'Field may return to a pub near you (more likely if you happen to live in Putney)
