1981-83
One of the longest-lived line-ups so far. The band recorded
two further demos at Elephant Studios, Wapping. The first (3rd March 1982) consisted of
'Journey to the South', 'The Trauma' and the fan-favourite 'Sacrifice'. This was followed up by
a live performance at the Rock Garden, Covent Garden. Although the gig was marred by an
unfortunate string-breaking incident, it was generally well received. A further gig at
Bishop Otter College, Chichester featuring guest saxophonist Raffa was also deemed a success
by the band's loyal following. Around this time the band ventured back to Wapping for
their final recording session (5th March 1983 - 'Seventh Sense', 'Green', 'Western
Wilderness', 'When the Rain Came'). However, following a disastrous non-appearance at
a gig in Brixton, and with Matt Lyons leaving for Brighton, the band broke apart.
