| 1979 Rehearsals took place in Ian's living-room, with amplification provided by his Dad's quadraphonic system. As the two guitar channels vied for superiority, the sound became more and more distorted until finally the speakers caved in completely. The faint smell of burning was, for once, not the smell of Consulate... The band were not invited back to the Malcolm residence.... At about this time, James auditions for a role in the fledgling BBC children's TV series 'Grange Hill'. |
