Struggling with the most basic of equipment (including his legendary home-made guitar and biscuit-tin bass-drum) he managed to produce often sublime results irrespective of genre. Notable examples of his work include 'The Men in Black' (spooky), 'Dear Friend' (poignant), Scooby Doo (punky), and the immortal 'Nigel's Got a Crispy Pillow'.
